ChampionX has an immediate need for a Controls or Electrical Engineer located in Broken Arrow, OK supporting UNBRIDLED Electric Submersible Pump (ESP). What You Will Do:
Work within the Controls Engineering team to design, develop and maintain electrical products, focused on variable frequency drives, power quality equipment, monitoring systems and services that meet business requirements.
Research and specify single- and three-phase electrical products, as well as specify products to support sales and tendering.
Develop schematics, control schemes, and testing scenarios for variable frequency drive systems used with induction and permanent magnet motors.
Develop and complete documentation for electrical products including data sheets, purchasing specifications, and procedures.
Work with teams developing complimentary Cloud applications for IoT equipment monitoring.
Work closely with end-users to identify and solve problems, gathering feedback for continuous improvement cycles.
Perform testing to identify equipment faults and debugging to identify software defects.
Ensure projects are delivered on time.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
This safety-sensitive role may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
1 year experience; however, new graduates of accredited engineering schools are encouraged to apply as internship work may be considered.
Occasional travel required.
Understanding of software system architecture and design best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of:
industrial electrical design including CAD
analog and digital circuits
programmable logic controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)
Ladder Logic programming and diagrams
IEC 1131 programming
single-phase and three-phase power systems to 480VAC including power quality, IEEE 519 standards, and harmonic mitigation techniques
Variable Frequency Drives – inverters, rectifiers
Linux, including Docker containers and deployment
cloud server environments such as Azure, and IoT Hub
Knowledge of the oil business and artificial lift
