Job Description

Location: 5120 GS Fleet Maintenance
Pay Grade: A02
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Under general supervision, participates in general labor services for the Fleet Maintenance Division.

*This position performs duties deemed to be “safety-sensitive" and is therefore subjected to random drug testing under the City’s policies*

Essential Job Functions

  • Picks up and delivers vehicles, parts and supplies to and from various vendors and departments.
  • Moves and shuttles vehicles and equipment.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in and around the Maintenance Center and lot.
  • Performs mowing and trimming duties in and around the Maintenance Center.
  • Picks up and removes trash and debris from in and around the Maintenance Center.
  • Performs general custodial duties.
  • Performs minor building maintenance services.
  • Cleans and maintains tools and equipment.
  • Assists mechanics with general labor.
  • Performs administrative duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

Requires an ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations, supplemented by one year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid CDL Class B Driver's License issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

Physical Requirements

Tasks involve the ability to exert forceful physical effort in heavy work, typically involving some combination of balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, handling, hearing, kneeling, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, talking, visual acuity, walking and which involves some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 100 pounds).
