The Food & Beverage Shift Manager is responsible for leading daily shift operations within assigned outlets, ensuring quality guest service, smooth team performance, and compliance with company policies. This role functions as a bridge between Shift Leads and F&B Manager, with additional responsibility for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members. The Shift Manager supports operational excellence and develops team members.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise day-to-day shift activities, including opening, operating, and closing procedures.

  2. Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

  3. Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.

  4. Assist with scheduling, labor management, and coverage during peak times.

  5. Direct, coach, and motivate team members during shifts to meet service standards.

  6. Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate expectations, updates, and promotions

  7. Train new employees on company policies, service standards, and safety procedures.

  8. Provide on-the-spot feedback and document performance observations for management review.

  9. Manage the full-cycle hiring process for hourly food & beverage staff, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and extending offers.

  10. Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure staffing levels align with operational needs.

  11. Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates to minimize turnover and staffing gaps.

  12. Assist with inventory counts and supply ordering as needed.

  13. Complete shift reports and communicate key updates to management.

  14. Assumes/performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 years of experience in food & beverage or hospitality leadership, preferably in a high-volume environment.

Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and lead teams effectively.

Experience with recruiting and hiring preferred.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.

Having working knowledge of Oklahoma Health Department codes is preferred.

Casino and Bar experience preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Key positions must have application and knowledge of Title 31 reporting requirements.

Food Handler’s Card is required for all F&B positions.

Liquor License from the Able Commission is also required for F&B front of house positions.

Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background check, drug test, and obtain gaming license.
