Leads the Cash Operations personnel during a given shift and is responsible for the administration of MNGE Internal Control System as well as company and departmental policies and procedures. Communicates the strategic direction of the department to the team members. Provides day-to-day operational guidance while performing daily task. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Casino’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a wide range of financial transactions and handle any paperwork that may be required in an efficient and timely manner.
- Responsible for communicating task or projects to team members.
- Tracks progress and monitors team members ensuring deadlines are met.
- Provides clarification to team members regarding practices and policies of the organization.
- Provides on-the-job training and orientation to the department or team processes.
- May monitor attendance and ensures attendance policy is followed by team members.
- Fill out proper forms when necessary (MTL, hand pays, found ticket custody forms, currency test form, Title 31 forms, etc. ).
- Process and balance vault transactions, balancing the accountability and inventory of the vault, and perform End-of-Shift settlements and provide required documentation to Finance.
- Utilize currency counters, adding machines, and computers to calculate and record transactions.
- Finalize and balance cash drawer transactions, beginning and ending with the same amount of monies.
- Understands and strictly adheres to Cash and Vault Operations policies and procedures related to currency handling, check handling, chip handling and internal guest services.
- Demonstrates the ability to identify and locate vault variances and reports such variances to management.
- Responsible for multiple transaction recording and SAR activity.
- Possesses and employs a good working knowledge of local jurisdiction and gaming laws (Tribal and Federal) as well as internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Concisely communicates problems and concerns to management on a timely basis.
- Brings guest disputes and unusual guest activities to the attention of the Cage Shift Manager.
- Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient guest service.
- Ensure work area is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
- Additional duties as assigned.
