Description of Position
The College of Liberal Arts at Northeastern State University is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Social Work program.
Teaching Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in social work, contributing to curriculum development, advising students, engaging in scholarly activities, and participating in service to the department, college, university, and community. This position reflects NSU’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, student success, and the preparation of future professionals who will serve diverse and dynamic communities.
Required Education and Experience
An MSW from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program
A minimum of two years post-MSW social work practice experience
A Ph.D. in social work or related fields. ABD’s will be considered, but must complete all degree requirements by December 31, 2025
Teaching experience in micro, mezzo, and/or macro teaching experience
Capacity to teach across program levels (bachelor's and master's)
Ability to teach via various instructional delivery methods, including face-to-face, service-learning, and online

Annual salary $58,290.00 with excellent benefits
