Position Summary
As a Body Shop Technician, you will play a key role in thoroughly repairing vehicle body damage in accordance with Swift Recon time specifications and standards. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and committed to producing top-quality work.

What You'll Do

• Perform complete disassembly of vehicles to assess damage and prepare a 100% Repair Plan

• Identify all needed repairs to minimize supplements and repair time

• Remove and reinstall upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic systems, and trim as needed

• Execute repairs as outlined on repair orders with precision and efficiency

• Communicate with the production manager regarding changes to repair plans

• Keep part carts organized to prevent damage and delays

• Repair dents, weld broken parts, and ensure all fits meet body shop standards

• Replace damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and reassemble after painting

• Prepare repaired areas for refinishing by sanding and smoothing surfaces

• Collaborate with team members and apprentices to maintain a positive work atmosphere

• Follow all safety rules and hazardous waste disposal regulations

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

• Participate in scheduled team meetings and training opportunities

• Take on other duties as needed to support the shop's success

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 5 year of related experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Willingness to learn new repair techniques and grow with the team

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
