About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technician to join our team at Wagoner Community Hospital. As a Surgical Technician, you will be responsible for assisting our surgical team in providing exceptional patient care during surgical procedures. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe surgical environment. This is a critical role that requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technician
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a hospital or surgical center
- Experience with a variety of surgical procedures and specialties
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon
- Maintain a clean and safe surgical environment by following established protocols and procedures
- Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Assist with patient transport and positioning as needed
Skills:
As a Certified Surgical Technician, you will use your knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures to assist our surgical team in providing exceptional patient care. You will need to be able to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals. Additionally, you will need to be proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) and other computer-based systems to document patient care and maintain accurate records.
