About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse in the Med-Surg unit at Wagoner Community Hospital, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals recovering from surgery or managing acute medical conditions. Your primary responsibility will be to assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress throughout their stay. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that all aspects of patient care are addressed, including physical, emotional, and educational needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for educating patients and their families about post-discharge care and resources available to them. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction within our community hospital setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher from an accredited nursing program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs upon admission and throughout their hospital stay.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team promptly.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and adjust care plans based on patient progress.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and recovery processes.
