ER Charge Nurse

About the Role:
As a Charge Nurse at Wagoner Community Hospital, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. You will be a key member of the healthcare team, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients. Your leadership and clinical expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Oklahoma
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN or MSN degree
- Charge Nurse or supervisory experience
- Experience in a critical care or emergency department setting
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the nursing staff, including assigning tasks and delegating responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
- Assess patient needs and develop care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records
